Questions about our Filipino food and delivery

Pick your dishes from the menu, then message them to us on WhatsApp with your location. We reply with the total and a delivery time, and you pay the rider in cash or by card at the door. Card payment on the website is coming.

You pay our in-house menu price. Delivery apps charge us a commission of 25 to 30 percent on every order, and our prices on those apps were raised by 20 percent to cover it. Ordering direct means the same food from the same kitchen at the lower price, and the money stays with the restaurant.

Delivery is free within 5 km of the restaurant in Al Barsha 1. Beyond 5 km it is AED 5.

No. There is no minimum order for delivery at the moment.

We deliver across Dubai with our own rider. Free within 5 km of Al Barsha 1, AED 5 beyond that. For large catering orders we have driven out as far as International City, about a 30 minute drive.

The kitchen normally takes 10 to 15 minutes to prepare an order, and up to 30 minutes at the busiest times. Delivery time on top of that depends on where you are. We confirm a realistic time with you when we accept the order rather than promising a number we cannot keep.

Yes. Cash on delivery is available and always will be. The rider also carries a card machine, so you can pay by card at the door if you prefer.

In the restaurant we accept cash, credit cards, debit cards, Apple Pay and Google Pay. For delivery you can pay the rider in cash or by card.

Yes. Order on the website or by WhatsApp, tell us you are collecting, and we will have it ready. Most pickup orders are ready in 10 to 15 minutes.

Yes. We deliver with our own rider rather than through a platform, which is how we can offer the in-house price.

Yes. Tell us the time you want it when you send your order and we will schedule it.

Call or message us straight away on the number on your confirmation. We check with the kitchen and then replace the dish or refund it. Our full refund policy is on this website.

Message us as soon as possible. If the kitchen has not started cooking we can change or cancel it at no charge. Once cooking has started we cannot cancel, because the food is made fresh to order.

Yes. Give us the building name, floor and a contact number when you order, and tell us if reception will not let the rider come up.

Yes. Every price on this website is our in-house menu price, whether you eat in, collect or have it delivered.

No pork is served at Pinoy Tambayan.

Pinoy Tambayan is not halal certified. No pork is served at any time. We are asked this often for corporate and bulk orders, so tell us your requirement when you enquire and we will tell you exactly what our kitchen does and does not do. We will not claim a certification we do not hold.

Filipino cooking is savoury, sour and garlicky rather than chilli hot. Adobo is braised in vinegar, soy and garlic. Sinigang is a sour tamarind soup. Sisig is chopped and served sizzling on a hot plate. Most dishes are built to share, and rice is part of the meal rather than a side.

Start with Pancit Bihon at AED 25, the dish our reviewers name most, and Sizzling Beef Sisig at AED 39. Both are savoury rather than sour and come to the table looking like what they are. Finish with Halo Halo at AED 29.

Sisig is chopped meat, seasoned and served sizzling on a cast iron plate. We serve it four ways: beef at AED 39, chicken at AED 35, tofu at AED 27 and bulalo at AED 51.

Bulalo is a clear beef shank soup with bone marrow, cooked long and slow, served with corn and greens. Ours is AED 51 and is portioned for two people.

Sinigang is a sour soup, traditionally soured with tamarind. We serve five versions: Sinigang na Bangus at AED 49, Tanigue at AED 51, Baka at AED 53, Sinigang na Hipon, and Pesang Bangus at AED 39. It is one of the two dishes our customers name most in reviews, alongside pancit.

Halo halo means mix mix. It is shaved ice layered with sweet beans, jellies, fruit and leche flan, topped with ube and evaporated milk. Ours is AED 29 and it is the reason Google marks this restaurant as good for dessert.

A boodle fight is a Filipino shared feast. Food is laid out on banana leaves down the middle of the table and everyone eats together with their hands. Ours is a seafood spread served with unlimited rice and iced lemon tea, from AED 71 for one person up to AED 299 for six.

Pancit is stir fried noodles, traditionally eaten on birthdays for long life. We make bihon with thin rice noodles at AED 25, canton with egg noodles at AED 23, and malabon with thick noodles and seafood at AED 27.

Silog is a Filipino breakfast set: garlic fried rice, a fried egg and a protein. Tapsilog is cured beef, tocilog is sweet cured pork-free tocino, longsilog is sausage, daingsilog is dried fish. Ours are AED 29 to AED 31 and come with a drink.

Every main dish comes with one free rice. Boodle fights come with unlimited rice. Solo meals and silog sets include rice as part of the set.

Yes. Stirfry Broccoli with Tofu at AED 43, Tofu Sisig at AED 27, Ginataang Gulay at AED 35, Chopsuey at AED 39 and Tortang Talong at AED 27. Tell us when you order if you need them cooked without fish sauce.

Most Filipino food is savoury and sour rather than chilli hot. Bopis and sisig can carry some heat. Tell us when you order if you want a dish milder or spicier.

Portions are large and built for sharing. Bulalo is portioned for two. Customers regularly take food home. If you are ordering for one, the solo meals and silog sets are sized for a single person.

Tell us about any allergy when you order and we will tell you what is in the dish and whether the kitchen can avoid it. Please assume shared cooking equipment.

Yes, extensively. Cajun Shrimp at AED 61, Cajun Crab at AED 67, Buttered Garlic Shrimp at AED 41, grilled and fried fish, sinigang with fish and prawn, and the seafood boodle fight from AED 71.

The dishes marked best seller on our own menu are Chicken Skin, Lumpiang Shanghai, Grilled Chicken, Chicken Pinaputok, Pancit Bihon, Pancit Malabon, Arroz Caldo, Goto, Beef and Chicken Sisig combos, Tapsilog, Daingsilog and Buko Pandan.

Yes. Our Grilled Chicken Filipino style is chicken inasal, marinated and charcoal grilled. A whole chicken is AED 39 and a half is AED 23.

The boodle fight comes with unlimited rice and iced lemon tea. Every other main dish includes one free rice.

We build them for 1, 2, 4 or 6 people, at AED 71, AED 131, AED 219 and AED 299. For more than six, message us and we will price it.
